The HW-220 is a 21.6-ton crawler excavator built for municipal works, water-conservancy projects, highway and bridge construction, and earthworks. A Cummins 6BTAA5.9-C178-II engine delivers 133 kW at 2000 rpm to Tier 2 / Euro 5 emission standards.
The HVME270 / Rexroth negative-flow variable piston main pump provides 228 L × 2/min flow. Arm digging force is 109 kN, bucket digging force 146 kN, and traction 214 kN, with a maximum digging depth of 6,490 mm.
